1. Introduction
Welcome to Pnyx ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you visit our platform, participate in live audio debates, interact with AI personas, and use our application.
2. Information We Collect
- Account Data: Including your username, email address, password, and profile avatar.
- Audio & Voice Data: When participating in live arenas, your audio stream is transmitted via WebRTC (LiveKit) and recorded for debate replays and transcription services.
- Debate Transcripts: Conversations between users and AI personas are transcribed, processed, and stored to maintain public historical debate records.
- Payment Data: Handled entirely by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your raw credit card details natively.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is strictly utilized to operate the Pnyx ecosystem. Specifically, we use audio data and transcripts to generate post-debate analysis, feed context to the Alétheia Fact Checker API, and maintain the integrity of our global leaderboard. We do not sell your personal data or audio recordings to third-party advertising brokers.
4. AI Third-Party Processors
By utilizing Pnyx, you consent to your voice transcripts and debate context being securely routed through our partner Large Language Models (e.g., Anthropic, Google Gemini, Perplexity) and Voice Synthesis APIs (ElevenLabs) to facilitate real-time conversational AI. These partners act as sub-processors and are strictly bound by API-level privacy constraints.
